Fishapod Fossil From 375 Million Years Ago Unearthed In Canada
The four-legged creature was among the first to venture onto land—after transforming fins into limbs. Named Qikiqtania wakei, it predates iconic alligators, like Tiktaalik roseae—discovered by the same team at the University of Chicago. The discovery was published in the Nature journal.
