The guitar-strumming, concert-performing dog has been a part of the franchise since 2001’s Animal Crossing and with the latest title, Animal Crossing: New Horizons, he has become more well-known and beloved.

While Animal Crossing: New Horizons players continue to work toward getting the musical dog to play on their private island, many fans have taken to social media for a different challenge….redoing classic album covers with K.K. Slider in them.

This artistic trend began over the April 18 weekend and continues as more artists paint, photoshop and draw K.K. Slider into their favorite albums.

There’s a whole section of these wonderful works of art on social media by simply searching “KK Slider album” as fans put the dog in some interesting and sometimes bizarre poses to match album covers. Check out a few of our favorites below.

Other album covers have more than one character on them, but that’s no problem for these talented artists.

With so many characters to choose from in Animal Crossing, it’s easy to fill out the other figures in an album character. You can take a look at a few of our favorite examples below.

Nintendo recently announced that Animal Crossing: New Horizons will be receiving a free update that brings returning characters from past games (like Leif and Redd) to sell foliage and works of art.

A museum upgrade will also become available while Nintendo listed a few in-game events for April, May and June.

New Horizons is becoming one of the biggest games of 2020. With the current coronavirus pandemic, more and more money is being spent on video games as people look to pass the time while staying at home.

In the UK, New Horizons is selling four times faster than the last title, 2013’s Animal Crossing: New Leaf.

Japanese publication, Famitsu, reports that New Horizons is becoming the fastest-selling Nintendo Switch title ever. New Horizons has sold 1.88 million physical copies in its first week, outpacing Pokémon Sword and Shield’s 1.36 million.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons is available now for Nintendo Switch.
