April Bug & Fish Bug Catching Tips
Here are some tips to help you catch some of April’s most desired creatures.
Atlas Moth: The Atlas Moth looks like this. It’s a pretty rare spawn, but you’ll find it hanging around Pine Trees or Palm Trees alike. Just approach it slowly and swing your net.
Snapping Turtle: The Snapping Turtle shadow looks like this. Spend time around rivers at night, and you should have no trouble finding one.
Giant Water Bug: As seen in this picture, the Giant Water Bug can be found around bodies of water. Stay there if you want to find one.
Darner Dragonfly: These guys move pretty fast which makes them seem like a challenging catch, but just keep swinging and it’ll eventually work out.
Cherry Blossoms - How to Get Petals
While technically not related to April’s bugs or fish, one of the biggest visible changes for New Horizons in April is the start of Cherry Blossom season. Formally green tree leaves have since turned white, and that’s a pretty significant detail for DIY fans.
You may notice that certain recipes require the Cherry-Blossom Petal. These are found mostly at random as they float and flutter from the sky. Catch them with your net the same way you would a butterfly. You’ve got the whole month to stock up, so don’t feel pressured to get tons of them over a short period of time.
Once you have a few Cherry-Blossom Petals in your inventory, here’s a working list of things you can craft.
