Players were reporting a glitch that would permanently lock off one of the villager plots and prevent new residents from moving in. There are only 10 spots available on each island so that became a problem for players looking to expand their Animal Crossing: New Horizons experience.
However, the latest update—version 1.1.2—is available to download today. Simply press the plus button when selecting Animal Crossing: New Horizons to check for a software update and then download via internet.
Once the update is downloaded, players will be able to play New Horizons without fear of losing out on a potential resident.
The patch notes for Version 1.1.2 is only available in Japanese, but here’s a rundown of what it does in English thanks to translation from GoNintendo.
