What time does Apex Legends Season 2 Start?

Officially speaking, Respawn has only confirmed that Apex Legends Season 2 launches July 2. That being said, considering Apex Legends Season 1 and most other major updates have gone live around 1 p.m. EDT, we expect that’s precisely when the Season 2 Battle Pass might become available. In short, our best guess for the Season 2 start time is July 2 at 1 p.m. EDT. Around that time, the Season 2 1.13 update should go live.

What to expect from Apex Legends Season 2

In case you’ve missed Repawn’s prior Season 2 reveals, here’s what we know about the Season 2 content updates and Battle Pass structure so far.

Wattson: Wattson is a defensive Legend with the ability to deploy fences. L-Star Weapon: A plasma-fueled EMG that uses experimental ammo. Ranked Play: A separate queue with unique seasonal rewards for skilled players. Enhanced Battle Pass: More meaningful rewards and faster progression. There will, of course, be an assortment of new skins to unlock as well. Flyers: Players can pilot dragon-like creatures around the map. The beasts are stored in cages in specific spots. Daily/Weekly Challenges: Gameplay-focused tasks allow players to tier up their Battle Passes faster. Map Changes: Due to happenings at the Repulsor Tower, large sections of the Season 1 map have decayed and become overgrown.

Those who wish to experience the full breadth of what Apex Legends Season 2 has to offer must purchase the Battle Pass for 950 Apex Coins, but there will be a free tier for those on a budget as well.

Apex Legends Season 2 begins July 2 on PS4, Xbox One and PC.
