What time does Apex Legends Season 3 Start?

Monday afternoon, Respawn Entertainment announced via Twitter that Apex Legends Season 3 will begin October 1 at 3 p.m. EDT. While the release timing differs from the 1 p.m. launch of most major updates, that’s when the presumed version 1.20 patch will go live.

As a result, we suggest fans start refreshing their consoles and associated social media accounts at 3 p.m. on October 1. The Apex Legendsand Respawn Twitter accounts will be the best places to check in case delays make the release slightly later than expected.

What to Expect from Apex Legends Season 3

Late last week Respawn published a blog post with a basic outline for everything fans can expect during Apex Legends Season 3: Meltdown. For those who missed the news, here’s a quick refresher of the key details

New Legend: Crypto: Fans have likely seen Crypto all around Kings Canyon over the past few days, and he’s about to make his big playable debut. As far as his abilities are concerned, his Drone allows players to interact with map objects from a distance. In the meta, he’ll be great for scouting out locations before sending in your squad for the kill. All New Battle Pass: While we don’t yet know precisely what the new cosmetics will look like, the Season 3 Battle Pass features more than 100 items including skins, Apex Packs and more. New Weapon: Charge Rifle: The Charge Rifle originally made its debut in the Titanfall games. It was previously used as a heavy weapon designed to take down Titans, but how will it be used in Apex?Ranked Series 2: Following a fairly successful competitive launch during Battle Charge in July, Season 3 offers a new ranked experience with enhanced scoring, an Apex Predator leaderboard and leaver penalties activated from day one.

There may be even more secrets to behold as Respawn continues to unveil and hint at possible changes, but these are the only confirmed Season 3 additions we know so far. If there are additional surprises, we expect to see them a little later in the season alongside a special event.

Apex Legends is available now on PS4, Xbox One and PC. Season 3 is expected to begin July 1 around 1 p.m. EDT.
