In fact, the Sacha Baron Cohen satire is going to be released not long before election day (November 3) on October 23.

Now Baron Cohen’s Kazakhstani reporter is “back to save 2020” in his infamous mankini which has been suitably repurposed into a mask-ini, inline with these pandemic times.

Borat 2, or Borat Subsequent Moviefilm: Delivery of Prodigious Bribe to American Regime for Make Benefit Once Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan is reportedly due to take aim at the likes of Donald Trump and the late Jeffrey Epstein.

The Borat sequel was the first movie made during the COVID-19 shutdown, Deadline reports, with a minimal crew. It’s said that Baron Cohen was eager to release the film before the U.S. Election.

The publication also reports that the actor “risked his life” while filming and had to wear a bulletproof vest on two occassions while shooting the film.

The movie was previously rumored to be titled Borat: Gift of Pornographic Monkey to Vice Premiere Mikhael Pence to Make Benefit Recently Diminished Nation of Kazakhstan, as that’s what was submitted to the Writers Guild America.

Film website Collider first reported on news of the follow-up to the mockumentary and shared a YouTube clip of a scene from the movie apparently being shot in Los Angeles in August of this year. So viewers can expect plenty of undercover shenanigans.

Baron Cohen was spotted at a far-right rally in June where he was seen encouraging a large crowd to sing along to a country-and-western-style jungle that included the lyrics: “Obama, what we gotta do, inject him with the Wuhan flu.”
