Mechs With Flamethrowers and Elemental Fists

Borderlands allows players to take the role of one of four Vault Hunters looking for loot. Each one has their own unique powers and abilities that can be upgraded throughout the game. There’s Amara the Siren, FL4K the Beastmaster, Moze the Gunner and Zane the Operative. I’m most excited about using FL4K and his army of angry animals that do his bidding. Your trusty sidekick Claptrap, isn’t the same voice actor so he might sound different, but he’s still just as goofy as ever.

Vehicular Slaughter

Players are able to visit Ellie’s garage and build their own car to race around the post-apocalyptic wasteland. Outfit it with machine guns, laser swords or a host of random weapons and upgrades that will make you a force to reckon with. Make sure when you’re traveling not to leave anything behind, especially if it’s a USB stick full of important company secrets and unmentionable videos.

Lots of Guns

The latest Borderlands has tens of thousands of different guns for players to unlock and discover. There are weapons that fire heat-seeking bullets, frost beams, hamburger sliders and even tiny guns. Gearbox CEO Randy Pitchford loves a good magic trick, which means he’s willing to make anything appear out of a barrel.

Worlds to Explore

There are multiple different worlds for you to play through once you start digging into the content. There’s the futuristic Pandora, the gross Promethea, the beautiful Athenus and the oozing Eden-6. Each comes with its own host of enemies to slaughter while you play. From robots, to dinosaurs, there’s enough cannon fodder to keep your PvE cravings satisfied. There’s no word yet on if there will be any new content in the DLC since Gearbox doesn’t want to “muddle the situation.”

Co-Op Bonanza

The biggest pull for Borderlands is that you can play with up to three other people in a single lobby. Joining friends as you blast through waves of enemies is the best way to play. You can even do split screen co-op from the comfort of your couch if that tickles your fancy. If Gears of Wars 5 isn’t enough of a challenge, this should test even the strongest friendships.
