Your journey begins here on the map. You essentially go up the main staircases of the mansion, clear the atrium of adds, kill the mini-boss that appears, and enter through the door that opens. The mission should actually take you here, as the room with the Golden Mask.
In this room, you’ll see a large desk with a keyboard on top. Interact with the keyboard to activate the four screens in front of you. These screens include four shapes. In this case the shapes are Square, Circle, Circle, Square. Triangle is also a possible display, however.
While you may be pressured to enter the code on the numbered bookshelf behind you, what you must first do is look at the shelf next to the leftmost monitor shown here. On that shelf, you’ll see glowing objects that relate to the three possible shapes. You’ll see a glowing Square, Circle and Triangle artifact highlighted in the image below. Because we’re only dealing with squares and circles for our puzzle, we’ll ignore the glowing triangle altogether.
You’ll see there are three empty slots in each of the glowing shape columns. These empty slots essentially form a number grid, but we’ll make it easy by avoiding the visualization.
Going top to bottom, the numbers are:
Triangle: 1, 4, 7Square: 2,5,8Circle: 3, 6, 9
To know which number corresponds to each shape, you need to look for the golden/bronze artifacts circled above. In our case, those are found in the Square 2 and Circle 6 slots. There’s one in the Triangle 7 slot too, but that’s irrelevant for this particular puzzle because the Triangle isn’t in our code.
Now that we know Square stands for 2 and Circle stands for 6, we can use those digits to translate our original code. Square, Circle, Circle, Square equals 2, 6, 6, 2. That number should be entered on the digit bookcase behind you.
Enter the wrong code, and you’ll have to load the game again. Enter it right, and you’ll be directed to a room full of loot. That’s all you need to know about the “Every Mansion Needs a Puzzle” Challenge.
