The main feature of the 3.0 Call of Duty: Mobile update is, of course, its Season 3 content. With two new maps, a new Operator skill, Rapid Fire and 20v20 game modes, there’s a ton of new experiences for players to mess around with. It also doesn’t hurt to know the upcoming Battle Pass will be cheaper than the previous two offerings despite having the same number of rewards. As a free-to-play game Call of Duty: Mobile is rife with microtransactions, and it’s no secret that the apps’s publishers at Activision were maybe a bit too greedy with their new creation shortly after launch. It’s nice to see those purchase numbers come back down to reality for what looks to be a strong season.
On the features and bug fixes side, most of the changes made to Call of Duty Mobile amount to nerfs to weapons and Scorestreaks like the SMRS, S36, MSMC, as well as several weapon attachments. These changes were mostly necessary to stamp out OP loadouts. On the other end of the spectrum, buffs to the AK-47, LK24, ASM10 and HG40 are appreciated just the same. While we suspect there are still some balance holes left to plug, Call of Duty: Mobile should feel solid heading into Season 3. In terms of its content and adjustments, the 3.0 update for Call of Duty: Mobile looks like the biggest one the game has seen to date.
Call of Duty: Mobile is available now on Android and iOS.
