Call of Duty: Modern Warfare free multiplayer weekend start and end time
The latest free multiplayer weekend for Modern Warfare runs Friday April 24 at 1 p.m. EDT through Monday April 27 at 1 p.m. EDT. During that period, a special playlist will be offered for all players whether they own Modern Warfare or are just taking advantage of the free trial.
How to download the free multiplayer demo
Just like last time, players can download all they need for the Modern Warfare weekend by installing the Call of Duty: Warzone standalone application for free. Here’s how you can find it on all three platforms.

Once the clock strikes 1 p.m. EDT Friday, Warzone will feature a special playlist dedicated to the free multiplayer weekend among the app’s traditional battle royale queues. In the previous free weekend the playlist was called “Stocked Up, Locked Down 24/7,” but it may have a different name this time. Note that all purchases, unlocks and cosmetics can be used in the full Modern Warfare game if you decide to buy it.
Which maps and modes can I play for free?
For this weekend, players will be able to enjoy Hovec Sawmill, Talsik Backlot, Aniyah Incursion, Hideout and Shoot House in 6v6 and 10v10 gameplay. Modes have not been announced, but the previous free multiplayer weekend featured these five options:
Team Deathmatch: Teams of six, first to 70 points. Kill Confirmed: Kills only count if you can collect the Dog Tag of the player before an opposing teammate steals it. The first team to collect 70 Dog Tags wins. Domination: Capture the three flag control points on the map to score points. Hardpoint: Capture zones on the map that rotate every 45 seconds. Clear out all enemies to get the points. The first to score 250 points wins. Headquarters: Capture the rotating Headquarters objective, but holding the Headquarters means you can’t respawn. The first to 200 points wins.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is available now on PS4, Xbox One and PC. The free multiplayer weekend runs Friday April 24 through Monday April 27.
