Call of Duty: Modern Warfare free multiplayer weekend start and end time
The Call of Duty: Modern Warfare free multiplayer weekend runs from April 3 at 1 p.m. EDT through April 6 at 1 p.m. EDT. Through that time, the playlist will be live for everyone.
How to download the free multiplayer demo
The Modern Warfare free multiplayer weekend will be conducted entirely through the free Call of Duty: Warzone application. So, if you’ve already downloaded Warzone, you’re set to start playing multiplayer immediately at 1 p.m. EDT.
For those who haven’t downloaded Warzone yet, they can do so via the following links.
PS4: Search for Call of Duty: Warzone in the PlayStation Store or use this link. Xbox: Search for Call of Duty: Warzone in the Microsoft Store or use this linkPC: Search for Call of Duty: Warzone on the Battle. net application or use this link.
Once the above-listed start time arrives, you’ll see a playlist for “Stocked Up, Locked Down 24/7” amongst the standard Warzone lobby choices. This is where your free multiplayer action takes place. All purchased items, unlocks and cosmetics will carry over to the full game if you opt to buy it.
Which maps and modes can I play for free?
The Modern Warfare free multiplayer weekend features two maps: the 10v10 Atlas Superstore and 6v6 Shoot House. Atlas may be familiar to Warzone players, since it’s featured on the Verdansk map. The multiplayer version has the same wide-open spaces with 23 individual zones. If you need some time to collect your thoughts, Atlas gives you the best chance to do that.
Shoot House, on the other hand, is one of the smallest multiplayer maps Infinity Ward has designed for 12 players. That means its action is fast, chaotic and challenging. Newbies might be able to rack up lots of kills in quick succession, but they’ll die just as quickly.
These two maps are available in the following modes throughout the weekend:
Team Deathmatch: Teams of six, first to 70 points. Kill Confirmed: Kills only count if you can collect the Dog Tag of the player before an opposing teammate steals it. The first team to collect 70 Dog Tags wins. Domination: Capture the three flag control points on the map to score points. Hardpoint: Capture zones on the map that rotate every 45 seconds. Clear out all enemies to get the points. The first to score 250 points wins. Headquarters: Capture the rotating Headquarters objective, but holding the Headquarters means you can’t respawn. The first to 200 points wins.
That’s all there is to know about the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare free multiplayer weekend for April 3 through April 6.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is available now on PS4, Xbox One and PC.
