New Operator - Ghost: Wreak havoc as Ghost, the iconic and intimidating Special Forces Operator - available instantly by purchasing the Battle Pass. Ghost has appeared in several Call of Duty games since his debut, but he’s perhaps best known for his pivotal role in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. This will be the first time we see him implemented as part of the new Operator system.
New Weapons GRAU 5.56 & Striker 45: “Lightweight, maneuverable and full of potential” as well as a “hard-hitting and long-range SMG.” The GRAU appears to be a new brand of assault rifle, while the Striker 45 looks to embody the spirit of the massively popular UMP-45 that became a crutch for noobs in Modern Warfare 2. Coinciding with the Season 2 moniker, then, it looks like the second Battle Pass draws great inspiration from the second game in the original Modern Warfare series.
Battle Pass Bundles: Standard (Ghost, 100 Tiers and 1,300 CoD Points) for 1,000 CoD Points. Bundle (standard content plus 20 tier skips and 2,400 CoD Points) for 4,000 CoD Points.
Weapon Blueprints: Earn Legendary, Epic and Rare Blueprints to expand your arsenal.
New Operator Skins: Customize your character with Legendary and Epic Gear.
Battle Pass Preview: Over 80 additional items. Acquire XP Tokens, Watches and more just for playing.
Brief Trailer: The tweet below shows off some of the new cosmetics in action.
Rust Returns: Shortly after these leaks appeared, Charlie INTEL also noticed an update to the Call of Duty AR Card, which seemed to confirm the return of the hugely popular Rust map. Just like the rest, Rust is best known for its original appearance in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2.
While it’s unclear precisely when all parts of this new content will drop, it’s expected that a large chunk of it will debut alongside the game’s presumed 1.14 update on Tuesday, February 11. Anything referenced here that’s not part of the initial patch will likely be doled out at a later point in the coming season. Given that these leaks appeared from official sources, there’s little reason to doubt their accuracy. In short, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Season 2 looks to be a great addition to 2019’s most popular shooter.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is available now on PS4, Xbox One and PC. The 1.14 Season 2 update is expected to release around 1 p.m. EST February 11.
