These fixes arrive just a handful of days after patch 1.08, which deployed overnight last Tuesday. Ironically enough, that patch also included a nerf for the 725 shotgun that proved to not be potent enough. Since launch the powerful weapon has dominated the meta as a shotgun with sniper-like capabilities. Once the November 19 hotfix has been installed, however, its damage range will be decreased and the weapon will be less effective when fired from the hip. In other words, no matter how you may have played the 725 before, the gun’s about to get a lot weaker. The same can be said for the Model 680, which has received a blanket damage range reduction with attachments.
The second major focus of today’s update is fixing various progression blockers in Ground War and multiplayer. If players were trying to complete challenges like Infiltrator or Warrior’s Code, the tasks quite frequently never registered challenge progression despite players meeting the listed requirements. With the latest fixes, these problems should be resolved. Today’s update may not be the biggest patch Call of Duty: Modern Warfare has ever seen, but it fixes some highly discussed problems.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is available now on PS4, Xbox One and PC. The November 19 update is live on all platforms.
