Modern Warfare update 1.10 has previously been touted as the “biggest free content drop in Call of Duty history,” and these patch notes don’t lie. Chief among the new additions is a totally reworked Battle Pass system that features two free weapons alongside paid Operator skins, XP boosts, weapon blueprints and more. Whether players decide to spend the CoD Points or not, they’ll be able to access the gameplay-impacting content fairly quickly. This wasn’t necessarily true of the controversial Battle Pass offering in Call of Duty: Black Ops 4. Advance high enough in the Season 1 Battle Pass, and you’ll earn enough CoD Points to enjoy Season 2 for free.
Beyond the Battle Pass, update 1.10 also adds new maps like Crash, Atrium and Cargo. The stock maps in Modern Warfare have been a point of contention due to their atypical lane design, so adding one fan favorite back into the rotation should help quell player concern. More maps and modes will be added throughout the remainder of Season 1, which ends January 28. With its free DLC and a wide assortment of balance changes, Modern Warfare update 1.10 is certainly the game’s biggest patch yet.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is available now on PS4, Xbox One and PC.
