The main draws for today’s update are, of course, its four new maps including Rust and Atlas Superstore for multiplayer, Zhokov Boneyard for Ground War and the Bazaar Gunfight map. Rust is likely as tight and chaotic as fans remember it, while Atlas Superstore sounds far more expansive and designed for true ranged combat. Bazaar and Boneyard offer a similar dynamic, with Bazaar tuned for small-team competitive play, while Boneyard is reserved for large tactical affairs. In short, no matter how you play Modern Warfare, there’s something to enjoy in update 1.14. Especially after unlocking new guns like the Striker 45, it should be lots of fun.
But, as with any solid season of a multiplayer game, there’s lots more due in the pipeline as well. As the season continues, players will be privy to at least one additional map, two Operators, four modes and a totally unique weapon. Today’s update frontloads the most impressive Season 2 content, but things only stand to get better in the coming weeks. With its reasonable Battle Pass, new gameplay opportunities and necessary balance tweaks, Modern Warfare update 1.14, and Season 2, sounds like exactly what fans are looking for.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is available now on PS4, Xbox One and PC. The 1.14 update is live now.
