200 Player Warzone!

Verdansk will now be able to hold up to 200 players. Jump into Battle Royale Quads with 200 players!

Supply Run Contracts!

Modern Warfare and Warzone fans have been waiting for update 1.23 for quite some time, and these patch notes don’t disappoint. Chief among the changes is the arrival of 200-player Warzone, something the mode’s developers had aimed to feature since launch. As of today, your Quads matches will be larger than ever, and more exciting as well thanks to the addition of the Rytec AMR. It’s a semi-auto sniper that we assume will be pretty powerful given the buffs to other snipers seen in these patch notes. On the standard multiplayer front, Cheshire Park sounds like a great map with enough height advantages to make that new gun especially worth the unlock.

Speaking of buffs, some of the biggest changes in update 1.23 revolve around weapon balance. Crutch weapons like the Grau, AMAX and MP5 have been significantly nerfed, while the SCAR and Oden have been buffed slightly with improved starting max ammo. All these tweaks appear to be pretty safe, changing up the gunplay just enough without totally neutralizing the weapons as players know them. On the attachment front, we’re especially glad to see No Stock get reworked, as that’s been dominating the attachment meta lately. It’ll take a bit to fully assess everything Modern Warfare update 1.23 has to offer, but the surface of it looks very promising indeed.
