Much like our Stadium Easter egg guide, it’s worth noting that we’ve recapped these steps thanks to an excellent overview from Geeky Pastimes on YouTube. If at any point our words fail you, his video embedded below will likely get you on the right track.

Even though this is generally called the subway Easter egg, the steps don’t occur in the subway locations. Instead, players must go to the City Hall building in the middle of Downtown with the big dome on the top. It’s marked here on the map, right near the “Downtown” label.

Once you get there, go to the gallery area with all the paintings and you’ll see a desk straight ahead. Hop behind it, and interact with the small keypad on the wall.

Enter code “2179” on that keypad. This kicks off a 60-second timer. Look at the computer screen across from you, and you’ll see a series of four images and some + or - sequences.

These images correspond to four paintings somewhere in the gallery area, and each of these paintings has a different Roman numeral below it. Here’s a recap of said Roman numerals for those who may need it.

I - 1II - 2III - 3IV - 4V - 5VI - 6VII - 7VIII - 8IX - 9X - 10

The pictures you may see include

A mountain. Roof of a mansion. The medal of the guy with the big coat. The handbag in the portrait of the woman. The darkly lit monument building. The shoulder pads on the soldier portrait. The arch on the left side of the portrait with the person on a horse. A man with a beard: corresponds to an empty wall area across from the mansion painting.

Each of these images and +-’s are separated by an X. What you want to do is yield four numbers by looking at the Roman numeral below each painting followed by any + or minus instructions. For example, if your arch painting has III below it and your mansion painting has IV below it, you may see “[arch] - 2 X” followed by “[mansion] + 2 X” that means the first two digits of your code are 1 and 6. Work through this code until you have all four digits.

Go back to the computer and wait until all four paintings have been displayed, then you’ll be able to interact with it again. This messy keypad shows the top and bottom halves of numbers. All you’ve got to do is enter the top half of the code first, followed by the bottom half. Just look at the shapes on each key, and you should be able to see how they connect to form your four digits.

If you enter the code correctly, the screen will display “subway override authorized.” At this point the Easter egg is basically done. Go to the Verdansk subway entrance marked on the map below, and you’ll see a computer terminal.

Interact with it to “enter system override.” The system will reboot for several seconds, until a message displays saying a train is on the way. Board that train and make sure its destination says “maintenance.” If it does, you’ll be taken to the secret subway with the Firebrand Bruen Blueprint. That’s all you need to know about the Season 6 subway Easter egg in Warzone.

Call of Duty: Warzone is available now on PS4, Xbox One and PC.
