The Light the Fires Quest & Armor

In order to earn Lord Saladin’s Iron Banner rewards for Season of Dawn, players have to complete a new Seasonal Pursuit called Light the Fires. Here’s every step we know so far.

In case you don’t remember the basics of how Iron Banners have worked since Season 7, here’s a refresher.

The whole Pursuit listed above must be completed in order to get Packages. The Pursuit is character-based, which means you’ll have to finish it for each of your characters. The end reward is the above-mentioned reworked Iron Truage set. Each step awards either Iron Banner weapons or an armor piece. Many objectives track during the entire season even if you haven’t activated the Pursuit. All rewards will be weapons until the Seasonal Pursuit is completed. Seven bounties offer Pinnacle rewards, but only four are active during each event.

With this setup, then, a key detail to remember is that Bungie has technically made it easier to grind for those Pinnacle Weapon rewards if you want them. Just delay closing out the Seasonal Pursuit to ensure all your reward drops include weapons. This increases your odds of getting the object you seek. Especially given the semi-recent changes to Pinnacles, that’s a huge tip for Guardians who are still trying to level up.

Where’s the Point of the Stag Bow?

The Destiny 2 Season of Dawn event calendar hinted at a Legendary Bow being part of Season 9’s Iron Banner reward pool, but Bungie has announced that the arrival of Point of the Stag has been delayed until Season 10. Players may still see some in-game references to it, but the bow is not actually earnable yet.

So, there won’t be any totally new weapons to earn during Iron Banner this season, but the currently available Season of Dawn Pinnacles will have a greater chance of dropping if you follow our advice.

That’s all there is to know about Destiny 2’s Iron Banner event in Season 9.
