The Basics of Solstice of Heroes 2019
Each day during the event period is based on either Solar, Arc or Void energy. Elemental kills offer Orbs that help you complete objectives that upgrade your armor along the way. It’s possible to create these Orbs, and collecting 30 that match the daily element offers one of three special buffs.
Solar: Guardians emit a burning wave of energy that damages anything around them. Void: Crouch while empowered to become invisible and gain Truesight plus enhanced ability regeneration. Arc: Guardians move with enhanced speed and deal greater melee and Sword damage.
Combat Meditations
These elemental buffs will come in handy during the Combat Meditations portion of the event. Go see Eva at a new area called the European Aerial Zone to start a three-player, matchmade, PvE activity that sounds similar to a Forge or the Haunted Forest.
Players fight Fallen, Hive and Cabal for a specific amount of time until a boss appears. Defeat the boss then scour the area for Chests. The number of Chests available to you correlates to how many adds you killed in round one. Chests contain Solstice Packages which can be opened with Solstice Key Fragments. To get Key Fragments, perform any activity during the event.
Chests contain:
Rare and Legendary gearEnhancement CoresMaterialsAdditional Armor (after earning the Legendary Solstice Armor)
Collect all three Legendary Armor Sets to get this Sparrow.
How to Start the Solstice of Heroes Quest
Visit Eva Levante at the Tower near the Statue of Heroes. She’ll guide you to the European Aerial Zone. Finish one run through to get the Drained Armor. Meditate with it then start the armor grind.

Thankfully, all Solstic Armor will support Armor 2.0 features when Destiny 2 Shadowkeep launches in September. That means mods empower the armor independently of its aesthetic, and there are more stats for Guardians to carefully tune the gear just how they like it. For many players, then, Solstice Armor can act as the gateway to the new system. That’s all we know about Solstice of Heroes for now.
Destiny 2 is available now on PS4, Xbox One and PC.
