The central draw for update 2.5.2 is Solstice of Heroes and the huge Lord of Wolves nerf. Starting with Solstice, players will have until the Weekly Reset on August 27 to grind from Drained to Majestic armor sets by completing various class-based objectives partially tied to the new European Aerial Zone PvE activity. All new armor earned during the event will operate off the Armor 2.0 system set to debut this fall, which means its cosmetic appearance and perks are separate from one another. Beyond that content drop, Lord of Wolves range and Shotgun Scavenger abilities have been drastically reduced.

On the quality-of-life side, a few of Destiny 2’s more frustrating tasks have been made easier as well. Tribute Hall rewards have been buffed, Iron Banner grinds have been reduced and Swords should be easier to obtain from the Menagerie. Especially considering the grind that’s about to begin with Solstice, smoothing out some of these pain points seems like a smart decision on Bungie’s behalf. For a mid-season update, Destiny 2 version 1.38 offers exactly what Guardians are looking for.

Destiny 2 is available now on PS4, Xbox One and PC. The 2.5.2 update is rolling out on all platforms.
