In the preview, it seems like Goku, after having Moro on the ropes, decides to show mercy to the villain who has killed millions of beings across the universe by giving him a Senzu Bean, a special vegetable that restores stamina to anyone who eats it.
While that was a rough preview of the upcoming chapter of the manga, did that event actually happen within the official release? Chapter 65 of Dragon Ball Super is available now to read for free on the Viz site, so be sure to check it out.

DRAGON BALL SUPER CHAPTER 65 RECAP
The opening pages of the chapter are almost identical to the preview released last week.
Goku has Moro outclassed and he inexplicably goes to Krillin to grab a Senzu Bean for the villain. To the surprise of the onlookers—including Jaco, Beerus and Whis—Goku tosses the Bean to Moro to eat, so he can restore his stamina.
In exchange, Goku asks Moro to promise that he’ll stop his rampage and go back to the Intergalactic Patrol’s prison. Moro agrees. He’s shocked, though, by the healing properties of the Senzu Bean, so Moro contemplates his next move.
Everyone looking on berates Goku for his decision as he steps up to Moro to bring him back into custody. Moro immediately backtracks on his promise, and goes to attack Goku. The attack fails, however, as Goku’s body has become harder than anything the villain can penetrate. The failed attempt breaks Moro’s hand as he keels over in pain.
Goku asks Moro if he’s ever trained before, and the villain admits that he hasn’t, because he sees it as beneath him. Moro feels all he needs to get stronger is to absorb planets; training is a crutch for the weak, as far as he’s concerned. Goku says it’s a shame, because he would want to fight Moro again after he’s trained.
Moro then notices his severed hand, from his earlier battle with Merus, over in the distance. The villain begins to ask Goku questions about his Ultra Instinct ability and whether Merus had the same abilities. Goku tells him that Merus is the one who taught him how to master it, giving Moro the information he needs as he races to his severed hand and reattaches it to his arm.
In an earlier chapter, Moro absorbed some of Merus’ power using his absorption ability, and now that he has that arm back, he can tap into it. Moro unleashes Merus’ ability to go Ultra Instinct, transforming into a new form.
Moro is now at the same strength as Goku as the two begin the next round of their fight. The two fighters exchange blows, but as the battle goes on, it becomes clear that Moro’s body can’t handle the power of Ultra Instinct. His body begins to grow larger and inflated and the villain can’t control it.
Goku explains that he had to train his body to withstand the power of Ultra Instinct and if Moro doesn’t stop, he will explode.
Moro, seemingly defeated, lies in pain on the ground when Whis instructs Goku to finish the villain off. Goku is about to, but Moro has played a desperate trump card: He’s fused his body with that of the Earth itself. The mass of Moro’s new body is allowing the villain to withstand the power of Ultra Instinct for a little while longer, but it puts Goku and the rest of the fighters in a pickle.
If Goku destroys Moro, he will destroy the planet. But if the energy within the villain continues to grow, it will detonate and obliterate not only the Earth but the entier universe. And that’s where the chapter ends.
