Why is Dynasty not on this week?

The reason why Dynasty is not airing for a month is down to a strange peculiarity of the U.S. TV season, which runs for around 40 weeks between September and May, and yet even the longest seasons of TV shows are only 24 weeks long. This means that shows have to take weeks off to fill the whole season.

Though shows deal with this by starting later in September (or in Dynasty’s case, October), and taking an extended break for the holidays known as the ‘midseason break,’ they do sometimes also have to take weeks off elsewhere.

Dynasty is far from the only TV show that occasionally has to take breaks. Riverdale, another CW show, for example, will also take a month’s break between March 12 and April 9.

When is Dynasty Season 3, Episode 14 released?

Fans of The CW show have a long time to wait until the next episode of Dynasty. Per IMDB, Dynasty Season 3, Episode 15 will not air on the network until Friday, March 27, when it will air in its usual time slot of 9 p.m. ET / 8 p.m. CT on The CW.

Instead of airing new episodes of Dynasty, CW will be airing episodes of Whose Line Is It Anyway in the timeslot until the drama returns.

International fans have by this point got used to waiting for episodes of Dynasty Season 3. Previous seasons of Dynasty aired on Netflix outside of the U.S. the day after they were released on The CW, but Netflix has decided to release Season 3 all at once, eight days after the finale airs on cable–the same time that the season will come to Netflix in the U.S.

Though The CW has not revealed when Dynasty will end, if it follows the pattern of previous seasons Dynasty Season 3, Episode 14 and the rest of the season will be released on Netflix by the end of May.

Dynasty Season 3, Episode 14 airs on Friday, March 27 at 9 p.m. ET / 8 p.m. CT on Netflix.
