Before, during and shortly after Ohio State plowed thought Virginia Tech on Monday night, Twitter — specifically those who also happen to be fans of the Cleveland Browns — reverted to the same tired and regurgitated tactics used by every Internet hopeful wanting to be the next person to coin #DunkCity or #McBuckets.

But of course: #FailForCardale. As if #SuckForLuck or #PlaySorryForJabari was not unoriginal enough.

This is a funny origin tweet, yet the idea that this hash tag makes social media awesome is not.

Be original. That’s really all we ask. 

If anyone should want to fail, it’s Cardale. If he keeps throwing beautiful spirals and cutting through the open field like a gazelle, he’ll end up in Cleveland, or worse, Washington, D.C.
