When is Fate: The Winx Saga out?
The Winx Club reboot’s release date is set for Friday, January 22, 2021. On that day, the full six-episode season will be released at 00:01 a.m. PT. When it airs where you are will depend on your time differences from America’s west coast—that means, for example, that the episodes will air at 2:01 a.m. CT, 3:01 a.m. ET and at 8 a.m.in the United Kingdom. PT is eight hours behind UTC/GMT, which should give you some idea of when episodes will be released where you are.

What is Fate: The Winx Saga about?
The official Netflix plot summary reads: “Fate: The Winx Saga follows the coming-of-age journey of five fairies attending Alfea, a magical boarding school in the Otherworld where they must learn to master their powers while navigating love, rivalries, and the monsters that threaten their very existence. From creator Brian Young (The Vampire Diaries), Fate: The Winx Saga is a live-action reimagining of the Italian cartoon series Winx Club by Iginio Straffi.”
That TV show ran for over 200 episodes from 2004 to 2009, and then in a revived format from 2011 to 2019.
In an interview for the Kids TV Licensing Expo, Straffi said of the live-action reboot, “[for] the 20-year-olds who still like to watch Winx, they will hopefully find their sweet spot in the Netflix original live-action version. It is edgier and darker than what they can imagine after being used to the colorful world of Winx. The target is clearly young adults.”
Is there a trailer for Fate: The Winx Saga?
The first promo was released on Friday, December 11 and can be watched now on the Netflix YouTube page. This one-minute promo has the tagline “are you ready to discover the Otherworld? Meet us at the gates of Alfea College on January 22, 2021,” and gives a preview of the powers that the fairies will display in the special.
