Taylor has teased the release of this new version of her breakthrough album with two songs, a “Taylor’s Version” of her first Billboard Top 10 single “Love Story” and “You All Over Me” a previously unreleased song that was scrapped from the original version of the album.
These releases have got Taylor fans very excited for the new version of Fearless, but they still have a few weeks to wait.
In February, the “Shake It Off” singer tweeted, “I’m thrilled to tell you that my new version of Fearless (Taylor’s Version) is done and will be with you soon. It has 26 songs including 6 never before released songs from the vault. ‘Love Story (Taylor’s Version)’ will be out tonight.”
This tweet was accompanied by a note where the singer discussed her feelings about the album 13 years later, and discussed the new songs that will be included on this new version of Fearless.
However, this post also seemed to reveal the release date for the album. Throughout the note, letters in the middle of words are capitalised. For example, the note begins, “when i think bAck on the fearless album and all you turned it into.”
Putting all those letters together, you get “APRIL NINTH,” which seems to be the release date of Fearless (Taylor’s Version).
This new version of Fearless will have 26 tracks. These are the 19 tracks from the 2009 Platinum Edition, her song from the soundtrack of the movie Valentine’s Day “Today Was A Fairytale” and six new unreleased tracks “From the Vaults.”
Missing from the tracklist, however, are the four bonus tracks that were released on the Japanese edition of Fearless, “Beautiful Eyes,” “Picture to Burn,” “I’m Only Me When I’m with You” and “I Heart?”
So far, the other “From the Vault” track names have not been released. Taylor, however, said of these tracks on her Twitter, “One thing I’ve been loving about these From The Vault songs is that they’ve never been heard, so I can experiment, play, and even include some of my favorite artists.”
