Air Strike

A thrown canister of colored smoke that calls in a flurry of missiles from above. Once the canister comes to rest, missiles will spawn after a short delay. Missiles spawn about 120 meters above the smoke canister. Missiles aim for random points within a 9 meters radius of the thrown object. A total of 20 missiles are spawned. Each missile has an explosion radius of 3. 5 meters. Each missile deals 75 damage to players and 200 damage to structures. Can be found from Floor Loot, Chests, Supply Drops, Vending Machines, and Llamas. Drops in stacks of 1. Max stack size of 2. Legendary variant.

Mobile

The amount of eliminations required for a Victory Royale in the Team Rumble Limited Time Mode has been lowered to 50 from 150 on Switch, Android, and iOS devices.

Update 9.30 #3 doesn’t include anything to wild except for the Air Strike weapon. This new item has the potential to deal massive amounts of damage to enemy forts, clearing them out with just one button press. It’s potential is absurd, attacking from a safe point up above. You can lay down suppressive fire from far away while your Air Strike clears out buildings from above.

With the Fortnite World Cup only a couple weeks away, this new item is a bit worrisome. When the BoomB ox was released in January on the day of the major WSOE 3 tournament, players were forced to adapt quickly or lose to the item. Games were decided by who could build farther away from the item or by who managed to secure an airplane early. The Air Strike will have a similar effect on Fortnite esports and could be a problem for those that want to see the scene grow.
