How to get Black Panther’s Kinetic Shockwave
While players might be looking for a special Black Panther boss encounter to get Black Panther’s Kinetic Shockwave directly, the way to add one to your inventory is actually much simpler than that. At the time of publication, simply go to the Marvel Standoff LTM queue. In this mode, Squads fight exclusively with Mythic weapons to be the last team standing. Players get two respawns each to keep the action going.
Given that Mythic weapons are so critical to the mode, a mythic like Black Panther’s Kinetic Shockwave is fairly easy to get while you play. As the match progresses, mythics drop from the sky in the form of comets on a fairly constant basis. Not only are they marked by a tall beam of light, but they’re also visible as small icons on the minimap. So, the most important part of completing this Week 6 Challenge is to keep playing Marvel Standoff till you encounter the Kinetic Shockwave token. It looks like this and is most often marked by a white beam of light.
Once you’ve got the shockwave in your arsenal of Superpowers, it’s time to put it to use. Charge it up with the designated button, and let it go while in the vicinity of an enemy. You’ll find that your foe is knocked back. That’s when you deal damage with a ranged power such as Iron Man’s Repulsor or Dr. Doom’s Arcane Gauntlets. You’ll typically spawn with one of these two abilities already, so you shouldn’t have to find that one as well. If it happens that you don’t have a ranged power, just find it the same way you did the Kinetic Shockwave. After a handful of ranged shots you will have dealt the required 1,000 damage to complete the challenge.
In the event this method fails you, it’s possible Black Panther’s Kinetic Shockwave might also be found in drones that surround Quinjet Patrols in other queues as well. Look for the purple smoke or white plane icon on the minimap to find one of those. Once you know what to do, however, this challenge shouldn’t be too difficult.
