How to defeat Predator in Fortnite
The main step to unlocking the Predator Battle Pass skin is defeating the Predator boss on the Battle Royale map. Thankfully, this one isn’t nearly as frustrating to find as the Wolverine boss that enraged players during Season 4. Unlike Wolverine, Predator always stalks the clearly defined location of Stealthy Stronghold.
More specifically, we found Predator most consistently by hanging around its Mysterious Pod in the northwest corner of the location. Others have found him to the northeast as well, so you might need to walk around the northern part of Sneaky for a bit. It goes without saying that you should secure weapons as well, so try to loot something that’s very powerful up close and a sniper that can shoot from a distance. That way you’ll be prepared for both combat strategies. When you hear the scary theme music kick in, that’s when you should be fully ready for battle.
As far as actual combat is concerned, many of the tactics you’ve used against other Fortnite bosses also work against Predator. Uniquely, however, this foe has the ability to briefly conceal itself. In other words, you may need to look for the blur of its silhouette or suspicious moving objects in the environment to locate it. Once it finds you it will charge, so start by unloading with all the firepower you have. After a few shots, it often runs away to attack others in the area, which gives you the perfect opportunity to do distance damage. Overall, we found the best strategy was to perch on top of a roof and shoot it from afar. But, if it comes back to charge you again, just blow it away with your shotgun.
Once Predator has been defeated, you’ll have the opportunity to pick up some fish, ammo and Predator’s Cloaking Device Mythic. When used, the Cloaking device allows you to stay concealed for 30-second periods, and it operates on a 30-second cooldown timer. Provided you’ve kept up with all of the previous Jungle Hunter Challenges, the Predator skin is officially yours.
Predator’s apartment in Hunter’s Haven location
Now that you’ve unlocked the Predator skin, you should be able to complete the rest of the Jungle Hunter Challenges fairly easily. Among them is the objective to visit Predator’s Apartment in Hunter’s Haven as Predator.
Like most location-based challenges, this one is pretty easy as long as you know where to look. Head to the northeast side of Hunter’s Haven, and you’ll find Predator’s apartment here.
Once you go inside, you’ll discover multiple clues that you’ve just arrived at Predator’s abode. You’ll see his helmet in the bedroom, as well as this very sweet gaming setup. Take a look around the area with the Predator skin equipped, and the challenge progress should trigger eventually. For your efforts, you’ll get a themed emote.
