In Season 2, Fortnite’s Spy Bases are situated on many of the map’s named locations. For the purposes of this guide, we’ll be focused on the Agency, the Yacht, the Rig and the Grotto. All spots are marked on the map for easy landing.
Faction Chests can be seen below. They’re huge Chests that must either be opened by a Henchman or a player disguised as one. You’ll notice that many of the locations we’re about to outline have Phone Booths nearby. Enter the Phone Booth to don a disguise, then you’ll be free to loot any Faction Locked Chest you encounter.
Faction Locked Chest at the Agency
From the northwest corner of the Agency, you’ll come across this square enclosure near the helipad. Go down there, and enter the Phone Booth to disguise your character.
Go up the stairs and you’ll see this door off to the right.
When you enter, go down the short hallway you see and enter the last door on the left. You’ll see this Faction Chest sitting in the corner.
Faction Locked Chest at the Yacht
Go into the Phone Booth at the edge of the ship near the helipad. Start digging down from this spot.
Dig to the basement, and you’ll end up near this door.
Go inside, and the Faction Chest is straight ahead.
Faction Locked Chest at the Rig
For the Rig, start in the location’s northwest corner of the main square structure. You’ll see this Phone Booth on the second level.
Disguised, enter this building through the blue door straight ahead from this spot.
Go up to the top floor and you’ll see this Faction Chest.
Faction Locked Chests at the Grotto
You may have already unlocked the Steel Shadow Pickaxe if you found the previous three Faction Locked Chests, but there are more at the Grotto. On the bottom floor that’s flooded with water, you’ll see this Faction Chest near a Phone Booth.
Go straight from here, and you’ll come to a little dead end with another Faction Chest.
These aren’t all the Faction Chests on the Season 2 map, but there should be enough here to earn that Steel Shadow Pickaxe.
