How to hit a player with a Water Balloon in Fortnite
While you might think Water Balloons are something that can be found at specific locations on the Battle Royale map, that is not the case. Instead, Water Balloons are an unlockable toy earned by completing the Day 3 Challenge to get five Eliminations with a Vaulted Item or Drum Gun. Complete this task, and the Water Balloon is yours. Once you’ve unlocked the Water Balloon, it can be equipped alongside the other emotes in your Locker. Do that before entering a match.
Water Balloon equipped, select it just like you would any other Fortnite emote. Activate it again by pressing “B” on keyboard, d-pad down or by tapping “!” on mobile. You have to hit three players in different matches, so just spam the emote button till you hit somebody and then die to reload a new match. If you’re really struggling, have a friend take the hit for you.
The challenge itself isn’t all that hard once you know what to do, but the process for getting a Water Balloon isn’t explained as well as it could be. If you do everything right, however, you’ll unlock a themed 14 Days of Summer Loading Screen.
