Fortnite Season 10 Start Time - When is the Update Coming Out?
According to a recent tweet from the official Fortnite Twitter account, downtime for Fortnite Season 10 is expected to begin at 4 a.m. EDT August 1. This follows the traditional release pattern of major-version updates throughout Season 9.
That being said, because Fortnite Season 10 is comprised of such a substantial update, we expect server downtime to last a bit longer than it normally would. In contrast to the standard hour-long outage many fans may be used to, seasonal downtime generally lasts about two hours. That being said, it’s likely you’ll be able to purchase the Season 10 Battle Pass sometime between 6 a.m. and 7 a.m. EDT.
What to expect from Fortnite Season 10
More so than other seasons of Fortnite, Epic has been exceptionally vague with regard to the potential highlight features of Season 10. The developer started its traditional daily drop of teasers this weekend, but the message behind them has been somewhat convoluted. At the very least, there’s a strong indication that time travel and time bending will be a big part of the experience.
Taking evidence from the teasers at face value, we know that previously destroyed locations like Dusty Depot will be making a comeback and that large mechs will play some role in the festivities. As far as skins are concerned, we’ve seen previews of what appear to be redesigns of Drift and Ragnarok. In our estimation, it seems like Fortnite Season 10 will be all about time shifts and alternate universes loosely based on things we’ve seen before. That’s all we know for now, but the rest will be revealed alongside the Battle Pass.
Fortnite is available now on PS4, Xbox One, Switch, PC and mobile.
