Like most fans had anticipated, the theme for Fortnite Season 10 is indeed time travel. In the clip, Jonesy gets sucked into the exploded Loot Lake Orb and relives some of Fortnite’s past iconic moments. We see the Visitor’s Rocket, the Butterfly from November’s Nexus event and even seasonal skins like the Skull Trooper. Especially for those who’ve been playing Fortnite over the past few seasons, the trailer serves as a comical walk down memory lane.
Just after Jonesy gets a well-deserved death stare from Peely, he lands on the other side of the time warp to find himself back on his home Island. The major difference, though, is that he’s managed to drop in the exact moment before meteors destroyed Dusty Depot. Previous teasers suggested Dusty would be back for Season 10, and this trailer leak makes that point abundantly clear.
The leak arrives just a handful of minutes after the release of Epic’s fourth and final teaser for Season 10. The preview features a six-second clip of the Loot Lake Orb exploding, but now we know precisely what happens after the event occurs. Previous teasers suggested the arrival of mechs and remixed Drift and Ragnarok skins. Unfortunately, however, this leaked trailer doesn’t reveal anything new regarding the specific contents of the Season 10 Battle Pass.
For now, Fortnite fans are eagerly watching the Loot Lake Orb as it continues to crack, make noises and cause strange effects in its surrounding area. It’s not yet known when or if the Orb will explode in-game, but there’s no doubt the mysterious object has major relevance for Season 10 and subsequent events over the next few weeks.
Fortnite is available now on PS4, Xbox One, Switch, PC and mobile. Season 10 is expected to start the morning of August 1.
