How to get Storm’s Whirlwind Blast

Unlike Black Panther’s Kinetic Shockwave from Week 6, there are two ways in which players can acquire Storm’s Whirlwind Blast. If you’re most comfortable with standard Battle Royale queues, you can start by visiting the Quinjet Patrol Sites marked by the large plumes of purple smoke and white plane icons on your minimap.

Amid a small cluster of Stark Robots, you’ll also see these small carrier drones in the sky. Shoot them down for a chance at a Mythic superpower. While the results are random, that power just might be Storm’s Whirlwind Blast.

An alternate method to getting Storm’s Whirlwind Blast is to play the Marvel Sandoff or Marvel Knockout LTMs. In those modes, players start with a small arsenal of superpowers, with more of them dropping from the sky in comet form. It’s possible you may even spawn with Storm’s Whirlwind Blast right from the start. You’ll know if you see a little tornado icon in your loadout.

If you’re waiting for a drop, Storm’s Whirlwind Blast is a token with a similar tornado icon and a white beam of light coming from it.

While playing either of these LTMs, simply watch for comet drops or look on your map to see where the powers drop. After a little bit of searching, it shouldn’t be that hard to locate Storm’s Whirlwind Blast.

How to deal damage after knocking an opponent back

Once you have Storm’s Whirlwind Blast, the next step is to make your move by pressing the desired trigger. Like the Kinetic Shockwave, this move sends an enemy flying backward. In order to complete this challenge, you must wrap an opponent in your whirlwind and then shoot at them with a ranged weapon to accrue 10,000 damage.

Hopefully, you’re fortunate enough to have a loadout with something like Doom’s Arcane Gauntlets or Iron Man’s Repulsors. That way, it’s very easy to trigger your whirlwind then shoot at a foe from afar. It’s also worth noting that this is a team challenge, so you can also trigger the power and then have a friend shoot with a ranged power to accumulate the damage. It might take a little bit of grinding to get done, but the 50,000 XP reward is worth it.
