Where are Upstate New York and Heart Lake in Fortnite?
In Fortnite, Upstate New York refers to the large chunk of land outside the main Stark Industries building that took over Frenzy Farm when Tony showed up. It’s the huge raised area outside the city.
As for Heart Lake, that’s a specific lake located within the Upstate New York Landmark. It’s the massive lake on which Tony Stark’s Lake House and secret lab reside. With this connection in mind, stopping by Heart Lake is a smart way to start your Week 10 quest.

Remember, in order to get credit for searching seven Chests in Upstate New York, the Chests must be found outside the metropolitan area of Stark Industries.
How to catch a fish at Heart Lake
The task of catching a fish at Heart Lake should be fairly simple. The first thing you’ve got to do is secure a Fishing Rod. This can be found in a barrel inside the little shack near Heart Lake or anywhere else close to the water. Outside of Heart Lake itself, the Ruins (the Authority) and Sweaty Sands both have plenty of alternate spots to snag a Fishing Rod.
Rod in hand, equip it, use the trigger to cast your line and then release it once you’ve found a good spot. Typically the white foaming circles are always home to a variety of fish, but you can still catch the critter you need from any random spot in the lake. After a few attempts, the easy Battle Pass XP should be yours.
