Collect the Visitor Recording at the Floating Island and Retail Row
In order to collect a Visitor Recording you must first know what they look like. Each recording is a yellow cassette tape that looks like this. You need six of them to finish all the Out of Time Missions.
The one on the Floating Island is marked here on the map. The Island shifts locations around the map so it may not be in this exact spot, but the mass itself is always visible on the mini-map. Once you land there, look in the back of the truck behind the pool.
The Visitor Recording at Retail Row is here. Go into McGuffin’s and look for the small magazine rack on the second floor. The tape is on the ground there.
Collect the Visitor Recording at Moisty Palms and Greasy Grove
The Moisty Visitor Recording is here. Go to the top of the big hotel building. It’s sitting on the roof.
For Greasy Grove, go to the location marked here. The Visitor Recording in the back of the Taco Shop on top of a booth table.
Collect the Visitor Recording at Starry Suburbs and Gotham City
The location of the Starry Suburbs Visitor Recording is here. Go into the tall brick building. The tape is on the third floor on a bed.
Finally, at Gotham City, the Visitor Recording is on the street in front of the movie theater.
Get the White Scientist Style
If you’ve got the Scientist Skin earned by completing the Meteoric Rise Challenges, It’s possible to get a special style for it after collecting all six Visitor Tapes. Equip the skin and go inside the Visitor’s Lair at Dusty Depot marked on the map below.
Once inside, head to the back and you’ll see this console. Interact with it, and your Scientist will turn white. After that, the Scientist (white) skin style is yours to keep.
These tasks account for three of the 12 total Out of Time Challenges, and each one can be hugely useful for gaining extra XP to close out your Season 10 Battle Pass. The full list of Out of Time Challenges is below.

These Challenges will be active through the end of the season. That gives players a decent amount of time to finish everything, but we’d advise against procrastinating too much. That’s all you need to know about Visitor Recordings and Fortnite’s Out of Time Challenges.
