You will organically earn most of these accolades just by playing the game without even thinking about them. After all, a lot of the achievements are related to campaign progress, while others simply reward you for engaging with mechanics for the first time (like completing an expedition, purchasing a car, or using the wheelspin).
However, there are some that necessitate you consciously pursue them. In fact, you might need to go out of your way to restore all of the “barn finds” (like the 1968 Ford Mustang GT), take a photo of the Gran Telescopio in the middle of a raging dust storm, or buy the various houses and villas.
If you are unaware of these optional challenges, then you are unlikely to do them naturally over the course of a Forza Horizon 5 play session. Which is a shame, because some of them are really fun to attempt. For example, there’s a hidden quest about photographing the golden Tlaloc totem (which can be found in the “Tulum Expedition” mission) that basically turns you into an Indiana Jones style treasure hunter.
To help you get the most out of your adventure in Forza Horizon 5’s stunning depiction of Mexico, we have put together a full list of the game’s Xbox achievements and their relevant descriptions.
Forza Horizon 5 is available on Xbox One, Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X and PC on November 9. Those who pre-order the premium edition can download it early right now. The game will also be featured as part of the Game Pass service at launch.
