The musical line-up are not the only celebrities due to make an appearance at the concert. The event will be hosted by Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson and will feature appearances from stars like Chris Rock, Hugh Jackman and David Beckham.
Johnson said of his role in a statement: “I’m proud to join Global Citizen and the European Commission to host the ‘Global Goal: Unite for Our Future’ concert. The event aims to lift up the global community that is tackling equitable access to healthcare, and other enormous injustices facing our world. This critical moment in history requires all of us – so let’s join together to chart a better future, for everyone.”
Among the performers will be Usher, who will be debuting his new single “I Cry” for the first time. Proceeds from the single will go to Local Initiatives Support Corporation) in support of black-owned small businesses and community organizations.

The concert has been arranged by Global Citizen. Who were also behind the at-home concert One World: Together at Home. That live-streamed concert featured performances from Lady Gaga, The Rolling Stones and Stevie Wonder, and raised $127.9 million for the World Health Organisation and other charities tackling the coronavirus.
This latest concert will be preceded by a summit that will also be live-streamed and will see world leaders, philanthropists, and thought leaders discussing the response to the virus.
