The video, which was posted to Lexi’s account @lexirainer_, begins as she sets the camera down.

“I just took my test,” she said. “Oh my god, I’m so scared. I’m so scared, I’m so scared, I’m so scared. You guys tell me first.”

Lexi then shows the pregnancy test with a very clear positive symbol displayed.

Her face falls, she gasps and snatches the test away from the camera, examining it closer before covering her mouth and taking some deep breaths.

“When I tell you I started double checking the instructions to see if + actually meant negative,” Lexi wrote in the comments section.

Cleveland Clinic, a non-profit medical center, reported that at-home pregnancy tests are very accurate when used correctly.

Most commonly, people will take a urine test with an at-home pregnancy test. A prescription is not needed for this test and there are many different options available.

Pregnancy tests search for the amount of human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG) in a person’s body, which can be found in urine or blood. As the pregnancy continues, more hCG will be present in the body.

Many of the commenters under Lexi’s video were equally shocked by the positive test result, some sharing they would not have been prepared if they received the same result.

“I don’t claim this energy,” jackie_x2 commented.

Others remarked that after seeing the results, there was no doubt that Lexi was pregnant.

“I have never seen a test look more positive,” Hannah wrote.

Another shared that they experienced a pregnancy test with a positive result just as certain as Lexi’s.

“Mine was disrespectfully this dark too,” Stefanie Tebben commented. “It was positive before I even got my pants back up.”

“That was how my second one was when I actually watched, as soon as my pee started going so did the dark positive sign,” Lexi responded.

Though initially shocked, Lexi filmed a subsequent video explaining she was excited now and what led up to her taking the test to begin with.

She said she lives with her boyfriend and he was excited when he learned she was pregnant.

Lexi stopped taking her birth control due to her anxiety.

She noticed her monthly cycle was late, but thought it may have been her body’s way of adjusting to not having birth control.

“Why I really thought I was pregnant is my sense of smell was insane,” Lexi said, noting that she purchased a pregnancy test while out shopping one day. “I could smell so much. Everything was so heightened and I was nauseous.”

“I’m invested this now,” bedaardaar commented.

In addition to recording and posting her reaction to receiving the positive test results, Lexi also recorded her mother’s and “Pop Pop’s” reactions to the news.

Lexi’s mother opened a box that contained the ultrasound. She threw her hands up before declaring, “I knew it,” with a smile on her face.

In another video, Lexi’s Pop Pop opened a box that contained the same items.

“Are you pregnant? Are you really?” asked Lexi’s Pop Pop before he walked over to her with open arms to give her a hug.
