The ordeal is not over. Cronje has been banned for life from his sport, although a government deal will keep him out of jail if he tells the whole truth. And he told of offering two teammates $15,000 each to shave points in a one-day test this year. Their cases have yet to be resolved. And the future of South African cricket is an open question.
