At the end of the season, Bob Armstrong (Dallas Roberts) is framed as the Pageant Killer while Patty turns full serial killer, revealing to her former coach, “nothing tastes as good as killing feels.”

This came after Bob was framed by the real Pageant Killer, Regina (Arden Myrin) and Patty killed her sixth victim, Stella Rose (Beverley D’Angelo), who was revealed to be alive in a former episode before dying at Patty’s hands for real.

Patty spent most of the episode trying to get rid of Stella Rose’s body, which she was wheeling around in a suitcase trying to find the right moment to dispose of it. However, that moment never came and even as Patty arrived at the Miss American Lady pageant Stella Rose was still in her case.

Here, she was found by Regina, who had already planted keepsakes from all of her victims in Bob’s apartment but sees the discovery of Stella Rose’s body as an added bonus in her mission to frame Bob.

The episode ends with Bob in prison being visited by Patty, still wearing her Miss American Lady pageant crown. He realizes that she hasn’t killed so many people due to circumstances of his bad influence; she does it because she likes it and he is the only person that can stop her—if only he can clear his name and get out of prison.

Though Bob thinks he is the only person who can stop Patty, the ending of Insatiable Season 2 also sets up several other characters who could bring her to justice if Netflix gives the show another season.

One of these is Magnolia Barnard (Erinn Westbrook), Patty’s pageant rival who has been suffering from amnesia ever since seeing her kill her first victim in the last season finale, Christian (James Lastovic). However, when the beauty queen is trapped in a box during a magic trick she is doing in the talent portion of the Miss American Lady pageant, this jogs her memory of being trapped in the boot of Patty’s car and seeing her batter Christian to death with a crowbar.

Patty’s best friend Nonnie (Kimmy Shields) is also in a position to reveal Patty’s crimes after she discovers Patty still has Christian’s phone. She confronts her over it, at which point Patty is forced to reveal she has killed not just Christian, but five other people.

If Netflix decides to recommission the show, Insatiable Season 3 could have a very different plot, with Patty on the hunt for blood while Bob, Nonnie and Bob’s new girlfriend/Patty’s mother Angie (Sarah Colonna) team up to clear Bob’s name and stop Patty from killing again.

Though Season 3 has not been announced yet, a renewal seems likely if Insatiable Season 2 has anything like the viewing figures of the first season, which Netflix revealed was their ninth most-watched show of 2018.
