Warner Bros. is releasing a biopic called “King Richard,” which will focus on the life of Richard Williams, played by Will Smith. As the studio details, the movie will tell the story of how Richard brought Venus and Serena “from the streets of Compton, California to the global stage as legendary icons.”

Richard Williams started coaching Venus and Serena at an early age and helped to inspire their tennis careers. Combined, the two won 122 singles titles (including 30 major titles) and 28 doubles titles under their father’s coaching.
