Although it’s a barely month old, Season 12 of League of Legends (often abbreviated to LOL) has already undergone updates to fine-tune its balancing. For instance, the controversial Chemtech Drake has been outright removed from the game now, after previous downgrades for the creature were deemed to be ineffective.

Elsewhere, champions like Talon, Zed and Lulu have all been nerfed in subtle ways, meanwhile Yone and Nocturne have conversely been enhanced. Of course, this is nothing out of the ordinary for League of Legends, as the popular eSport is always rolling out these incremental updates. In fact, Season 11 released a grand total of 25 patch note documents before it concluded.

Next up will be the 12.3 update, which will continue to refine character balancing and provide some much-needed item adjustments as well. Here is everything you need to know.

‘League of Legends’ 12.3 Patch Release Date and Time

23 updates are expected for League of Legends Season 12 (spanning from January 5 to December 7), with them occurring on a near fortnightly basis.

Developer Riot Games has published a full schedule for when each of these patches will be released, although it is worth noting that any dates posted here are subject to change.

According to this official plan, the next update that fans can expect for League of Legends is version 12.3. This will be hitting the game’s servers on Wednesday, February 2, provided that there are no unforeseen delays.

In terms of the specific release time, these patches go live in different regions at different intervals. North American players usually get them at 3 a.m. PT, which translates to 6 a.m. for those in ET zones.

‘League of Legends’ 12.3 Patch Notes: Who Is Getting Nerfed and Buffed?

Various programmers from Riot Games have been drip-feeding information about the upcoming 12.3 patch.

@RiotPhlox, a game designer who is known for regularly engaging with the LOL community, has posted a Twitter thread listing all of the biggest changes (which you can read here).

Particular highlights from this include the fact that Quinn is getting attack speed and damage improvements, while Caitlyn, Amumu and Twisted Fate are being ever-so-slightly nerfed.

Meanwhile, it has also been confirmed by character designer @RiotAugust that Ahri will be getting an overhaul for the update as well (and not for the first time). It is hoped that these balancing tweaks will help the mage be more useful in matches, by enabling her to refresh her abilities more often and heal upon killing enemies.

Below is the full list of every buff, nerf and adjustment that has been confirmed for the League of Legends version 12.3 patch.
